Crysis 2 DirectX 11 patch arriving next week

Crysis 2

When Crysis 2 was launched a few months ago, it received a lot of flak for not supporting DirectX 11, which meant that the game wouldn’t be as beautiful as it could have been (not that the game didn’t already have jaw dropping graphics in the first place). Anyway, Crytek has previously stated that they will be bringing the DirectX 11 patch to the game, and today we’ve learnt that it’s going to be very soon.

According to reports online, the DirectX 11 patch for Crysis 2 will be released next Monday on June 27th. The DirectX patch will be released together with a texture pack with high-res textures for both DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 versions of the game, along with the Crysis 2 version 1.9 patch. It will also provide a DirectX 11 benchmark level for PC gamers who want to check the frame rate readings on their hardware. Read the complete change log. How many of you will be replaying this game with updated graphics?
