For starters, a 7″ display at 800 x 480 resolution, in addition to 4GB of storage space and Android 2.2 Froyo as the operating system of choice. This is a barebones tablet that is reflected by its price, and so don’t expect to have it come with a camera (either in front or at the back), but at least you can enjoy a USB port and a microSD memory card slot to go along with this.
No idea on what kind of processor this model will run on, and neither do we know the amount of RAM that is stashed inside, but all in all, do cap your expectations. Archos has promised 720p video playback as well as support for different codecs including AVI, MKV and MOV amongst others. Since this is a Froyo tablet, do expect to be able to enjoy your Gmail on-the-move. Could this be the beginner’s tablet?
