There is a spanking new HP webOS app in town from WhitePages that will deliver local search for ordinary folk as well as businesses, location-aware Store Locator, Caller ID lookup and contact updates for virtually any webOS-powered device. This new on-the-go directory app for the webOS platform could not be introduced in a more opportune time, where it intends to fully support AT&T’s HP Veer 4G launch this coming Sunday, followed by the fabled HP TouchPad later this summer.
WhitePages’ app will run on just about any HP webOS device, and this new app will let HP Palm enthusiast access clear and concise contact information quickly, letting you gain insight into addresses, phone numbers, maps and driving directions, website link, hours of operation for popular stores and ‘save to contacts’ functionality that prevents your phone address book from going stale.
According to Bret Moore, general manager of WhitePages Mobile, “Our mobile strategy is to make the WhitePages directory available to as many consumers as possible, no matter what device or operating system they may use. We were one of the first companies to aggressively place a bet on Android and now with the forthcoming launches of HP’s Veer and TouchPad devices and overall demand from our customers, we expect great things from HP over the coming years.”
The WhitePages on-the-go directory app for HP webOS is currently free and can be downloaded right away if you are interested, or just wait for your Veer 4G to arrive officially.
