Clamoring for new Ratchet & Clank news? Sony dropped a bomb today with news that the Insomniac developed platformer will land on store shelves for the PlayStation 3 on October 18. Don’t know who Ratchet & Clank are? Well, let’s just say they’re like the unofficial mascot for Sony’s platform games. Think Super Mario, but without the little plumber.
For the first time ever in a Ratchet & Clank game, players will be able to enjoy on and off-line co-op multiplayer as either Ratchet, Clank, Qwark or Dr. Nefarious. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One will also be 3D-compatible, as many of Sony’s new games are nowadays.
In addition to providing a release date, Sony’s also partnering up with GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy and Wal-Mart for special pre-order items that can be unlocked in the game. So, before you pre-order your copy, make sure you get the lowdown on what free unlockable item you’ll get from each retail. All four are different, so pick wisely.
