Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH7 ready to rock the digital compact camera market

Panasonic has every intention to make sure that the Lumix DMC-FH7 will be a star when it arrives on the mass consumer market under the digital compact camera segment, hence packing in 16.1-megapixels worth of shooting goodness into something so small and slim. In order to keep up with the Joneses where its hardware specifications are concerned, Panasonic has decided to throw in intuitive touch-controls to make it a whole lot more accessible to the masses, since there are no more buttons to fiddle around with as found on other cameras.

Apart from that, the Panasonic DMC-FH7 will also feature a retractable high-quality 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC lens alongside an impressive 4x optical zoom. Want to record High Definition video? That’s not a problem, as you can shoot in 1280 x 720p resolution at a smooth 24 fps for clear and vivid images.  

The 3″ Smart Touch Screen lets you access Touch Auto Focus (AF), Touch Zoom, Touch Shutter and Intelligent Scene Selector through the simple touch of a screen, and in playback mode, you are able to drag the image across the screen with but your finger to browse through the collection of photos, as though it were a page in a book.
