Monster Hunter is one of the most popular games for the PlayStation Portable, and is probably one of the main reasons why the console sold so well. Well it looks like Capcom is going to try their hand at porting over the monster hunting magic to the highly competitive iOS platform. Their next title for the series, called Monster Hunter: Dynamic Fighting, puts players in the role of a monster hunter going around looking for monsters to slay.
However, this version of the game gets rid of traditional D-pad controls (present in the previous games because the PSP had a D-pad) and replaces your button mashing for slides, swipes, and taps on the iPhone’s touchscreen instead. No word if there will be multiplayer co-op battles (one of the most fun parts about MH) but it sure looks pretty exciting. Let’s see how hardcore MH fans will react to news about the game appearing on the “enemy’s” console. The game will launch this June in Japan. Hit the break for a video demonstration of MH: DH:
