Now we all know that Netflix for Android was launched only for a handful of devices and chances are, your phone isn’t one of the supported phones. Well, a workaround was discovered that enabled rooted devices to trick the app into thinking that it was running on a supported phone. Again, not many people have rooted phones and for those who don’t – not everybody is daring enough to hack their phones due to the fear of ending up with a bricked device.
Fortunately, the folks over at XDA-developers did the dirty work for you and managed to hack the Netflix app, and found a way to disable the device check. Now this doesn’t mean that it’s going to work on your phone 100%, but at least now you can run the app to check it out without having to deal with the rooting process. Head over to the XDA-developers forums for more details on how to get Netflix running on your unsupported phone.
