Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1 arrives at the FCC

Working at the FCC sure does have its fair share of benefits, where among them include getting your hands on the latest devices before most of the other people in the country managed to get hold of them. Well, one of the models to hit the FCC recently was the Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1, where it will be an Android-powered device that hails from China – this sure is no clone!

Manufactured by Compal, this is a variant of the China-only LePad compared to the shinier U1 Hybrid . Not only that, do take into consideration that Lenovo has already confirmed a global launch this June for the LePad, so it makes for perfect timing where this FCC document is concerned. 

Since newer tablets will run on Android 3.0 (or above) Honeycomb, we keep our fingers crossed as to whether the IdeaPad Tablet K1 will run on Froyo or not. Depending on the price tag, it remains to be seen as to whether people would hold out on this 10″ model and wait for a slimmer variant down the road. Which tablet team are you on?
