Intel to show off over 10 tablets at Computex 2011

Intel logoAccording to reports from the Wall Street Journal, Intel will be bringing out the guns at the Taiwanese computer trade show later this month – Computex. Intel, which hasn’t been as predominant as ARM at events with mobile computers, will be changing their game plan this year. ARM has been sitting comfortably on the mobile processor throne, with its chips powering practically every smartphone and tablet out there, and this year is the first time that Intel will be attempting to invade its space.

Intel plans to show off more than 10 new tablets at the Computex event this year. While it wasn’t mentioned specifically what tablets will be shown, Intel will be launching a new lineup of Oak Trail processors designed for tablet-style devices. Can Intel finally burst the ARM Bubble that we’re in right now? It’s going to be interesting to see whether if industry will finally shift towards using Intel processors, or will Intel continue to play second fiddle to ARM processors in this market.
