“I really believe that the tablet market is really going to be a big market in the future and this is just the start… In five years’ time, schools will have tablets probably instead of physical notebooks. I think that’s going to be such a massive wave of additional penetration in society… I think we can’t even guess the potential.”
The success and prowess of the HTC Flyer are still yet to be determined, but HTC mentioned that it’s been doing well. However, judging from most consumers’ reactions to the expensive stylus and the fact that it’s not running Honeycomb on a dual-core processor, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be a hit. I guess we’ll have to wait for some official figures before we can come to a conclusion. No word on what the new HTC tablets are going to be, but if they’re targeted at schools, you can expect them to be on the low-cost side of things.
