In addition to making it easier to tag people, users can now shorten the names of tagged people – for example if a friend has a long surname, you can remove his/her surname from the post without untagging him/her. While it does make posts shorter, we’re not sure what the point of it is, since it’s not like Twitter where you have a 140 character limit.
