Well, it comes with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity coupled with GSM 850, 1900 and WCDMA band II and V wireless data support. These bands, as those who are familiar, will know that they correspond to AT&T’s service in the US, which means the DWR-530 will most probably be made available via AT&T and relies on AT&T’s HSPA+ network.
There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time, but since it has already debuted over at the FCC, it makes perfect sense for this maiden AT&T HSPA+ portable hotspot to be released real soon. How much are you willing to pay for something like this, or do you think that sticking to your smartphone tethering is good enough for portable data?
