Folks who are holding off on buying Samsung 3DTVs due to the high price of glasses can take comfort in knowing that Samsung have reduced the prices of their active shutter 3D glasses by $50. In addition to cutting down the prices, Samsung will also be throwing in two pairs of glasses for free with the purchase of any Samsung 3D LED or 3D plasma TV. Though the glasses still cost a lot, it won’t be such a nightmare to replace them anymore, especially if you have kids around the house that don’t really care for such things and damage them constantly. The price drop will start after May 1 and the free glasses promotion will start after April 24. Hopefully in a year or so when (or if) 3D becomes common enough – those special glasses can be as cheap as $10.
