Microsoft to fix 64 flaws on Patch Tuesday
Records are there and they are meant to be broken, right? That seems to be the case, whether good or bad, and Microsoft has mentioned that they will patch a whopping 64 vulnerabilities in Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, Windows graphics framework amongst other software. This isn’t a new record though, as it will tie in with a Patch Tuesday that happened in December 2010 where a record number of security updates issued are concerned. The 17 updates will see 9 “critical” patches, placing them in the highest threat category under Microsoft’s four-step scoring system. As for the other 8, those are deemed “important,” which is in second rank. Needless ot say, Internet Explorer will be at the top of the list for deployment. Expect to look out for all 17 updates this coming April 12th at around 1pm ET.
We would recommend you keep your operating system up-to-date at all times in order to prevent any unauthorized entry into your system, not to mention having a decent anti-virus program running to boot. After all, you can never be too safe, right?
