LG rolls out Windows Phone 7 Korean input application

It goes without saying that those living in South Korea as well as Japan tend to have their very own kind of handsets as well as applications, since the languages used in both countries are not as commonplace as with other parts of the world – unless you have an interest in the language and culture, or are a Japanese/Korean living outside of your own country, of course. LG, being a South Korea company, will naturally do something patriotic as to release an app for Windows Phone 7-powered handsets which offer Korean input.

This app will be available for free over at the Marketplace, but only for owners of LG’s smartphones. The program is known as LGHangul, and this Korean input application has been described to be “the easiest way to type Korean on your Windows Phone”.

Of course, this could not come in a handier fashion since one of Windows Phone 7’s shortcomings would be the lack of support for localization and additional languages. It is said that a new set will be introduced later this year – and hopefully with the Mango update, but until that happens, Korean speaking users can always head for this dedicated application to input text in their native tongue.
