Guess what has landed in the office? Yes, that’s the HTC Droid Incredible 2 (read the fill incredible 2 review here) that just got launched earlier today. It is known in other parts of the world as the HTC Incredible S. In the USA, the phone will be available from Verizon, although it might find its way to other carriers under the “S” name.

It’s going to take a little bit of time before we can publish a full review, but here’s a high-resolution photo gallery as an appetizer.  In the meantime, you can tell us what you would like us to check in the review, and how you would use it. Maybe we can do a couple of case studies or reply to more specific questions.

At first view, the phone seems like a solid Android device and a worthy successor to the first Droid Incredible that we found to be a very good phone when we reviewed it. The Droid Incredible 2 has the particularity of being a “world” phone, so it also works on GSM networks. That’s pretty rare for a Verizon phone, and this is definitely worth mentioning.

Note: the Qualcomm 8255 is more recent than the 8650. It’s not obvious from the naming scheme… Also, DLNA is a network protocol that allows you to stream video content over WIFI, so it could replace a TV OUT with recent networked TVs.
