Hannspree tablet roadmap spotted

Hannspree is more famous for its range of flat screen TVs which come in a variety of child-friendly designs, but shrink the screen by a factor of a few times, and they aren’t too hot on the tablet scene. It seems that someone has caught sight of a Hannspree tablet roadmap, which you will be able to see the company’s tablet plans for 2011. We do know that Hannspree is offering a 10″ tablet at the moment, where the resolution ain’t too hot at 1024 x 600 pixels, while running on an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. There will be a more affordable model coming our way though, where a Texas Instruments chip can be found inside, sporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as Android 2.2 Froyo, so that means folks who have been hankering after Android 3.0 Honeycomb will have to wait until later in the year – assuming the hardware actually rolls out before that. It is rumored that this Hannspree tablet is going to cost a whole lot if you take its paper specifications into consideration – we’re talking about a 10.1″ display, an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, up to 16GB of storage space, Android 3.0 Honeycomb and a resolution of 1280 x 600 pixels – eye-popping, although 1280 x 800 pixels sounds more correct. Could that be a typo?
