EPIX video on demand expands to more platforms

EPIX

EPIX has just announced that their premium entertainment channel, video on demand and online service is now available on Android devices, Samsung TVs, Samsung Blu-ray players, Google TV, Roku players and the BlackBerry PlayBook. Folks who own these devices will be able to get their fix of premium online video on demand content starting from today onwards.

All the EPIX apps are free, and all users need to be are subscribers to the provided channels via cable, satellite or telco distributors. This means that users will be able to access over 3,000 EPIX movies, original programming and extras on demand anywhere there is an internet connection.

This is definitely a huge boost for Google TV and Roku users since those platforms have been mostly neglected by other premium video streaming services available. EPIX offers limited free trials for their movies and original programs, so users can try before they start subscribing for a certain channel. Users will have access to movies from Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, MGM and more. Find out more at EPIX’s website.
