Boingo has just announced their latest Wi-Fi App for the Barnes & Noble NOOK Color, where it will be a free NOOK App that can be downloaded through the Barnes & Noble NOOK Bookstore. This comes about after an agreement with Barnes & Noble, being part of Boingo’s first eReader partnership. Just what is the Boingo Wi-Fi app capable of doing? For starters, it will enable access to over 325,000 Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide through a simple mouse click. Yes, all it takes is a single Boingo account that does not cost much at all monthly, where you can then gain direct access to over 125 networks with the same login.
According to Colby Goff, senior vice president of strategy and business development, “Barnes & Noble’s NOOK Color Reader’s Tablet is a great example of a new wave of devices that can use Wi-Fi networks to provide a richer and more interactive experience to customers. Whether someone is browsing the NOOK Bookstore for her next great read or actively surfing the web, NOOK Color with a Boingo Wi-Fi account is a great combination.”
The NOOK Color is touted to open the door to some of the world’s largest collections of digital content, sporting integrated Wi-Fi support as well as delivering some of the most-requested tablet features that range from shopping for apps, books, magazines, newspapers and kids’ books. Have you downloaded the app yet, and how do you find it?
