One of the reasons that the Motorola Xoom hasn’t been selling too well has been due to its high price – with the iPad 2 setting the standard price for a cheap, high-end tablet – not many people have been willing to fork out the cash for a tablet that costs so much more. Well all that could change, with the latest leaked photograph of a Verizon database entry. Apparently we might see a 16GB version of the Motorola Xoom Android tablet, and since 16GB is significantly less than 32GB (the amount of internal storage the current Xoom has), we might see a significant drop in price as well. Could it drop to the $400-$450 range that will make people consider picking it up instead of the iPad 2? We can’t say for sure, but if it does, chances of the tablet selling better should increase as well, especially if a 16GB WiFi-only version arrives as well. Stay tuned for updates.
