Verizon has just announced that their high-performance USB 4G LTE modem, the USB551L, will go on sale from tomorrow onwards. The USB551L promises download speeds of 5-12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2-5 Mbps over Verizon’s 4G LTE network. With a compact, lightweight design, the portable modem is easy to bring around with you, wherever you go and it is designed to work on Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Mac OS X 10.4 and higher. The Verizon USB551L 4G LTE modem will cost $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a 2-year 4G mobile broadband contract. It will be available from Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and from the Verizon Wireless website.
