The worst is over so to speak for MSI as the Taiwanese company has resumed shipments of its 15.6″ GT680R notebook which in essence, is a full HD desktop replacement gaming machine. This comes after the recent recall of the Intel 6 Series chipset, so you can be sure that all units (according to MSI anyways) of this notebook shouldn’t come with any problems whatsoever. Apart from that, MSI will also be rolling out its “MSI Quality Assurance Program” for all MSI notebooks that come with the 2nd generation Intel Core processor chipset that are purchased Stateside. What does “MSI Quality Assurance Program” do? It is capable of addressing just about any outstanding customer concerns concerning product quality, throwing in another one-year extended warranty for all MSI Sandy Bridge notebooks for that added peace of mind. Specifications for the GT680R gaming notebook did not budge from its January 2011 release, where it will retail from $1,649 upwards. [Press Release]
