Mortal Kombat Fight Stick and First North American tournament announced
Performance Designed Products (PDP) has announced that they will be producing the Mortal Kombat Fight Stick in conjunction with the release of the Mortal Kombat reboot: Mortal Kombat. The Mortal Kombat Fight Stick is touted as “the ultimate joystick” for fans of the game. It is designed to reflect the look and feel of the classic MK arcade cabinet but with an updated button layout that provides better ergonomics so gamers can play longer without getting tired or hand cramps. It features velvet-wrapped memory foam for the comfort of players who hold the stick on their lap, and rubberized feet on the bottom for players who prefer to keep the controller on a tablet instead. It will be limited edition and sold with the Tournament Edition of the upcoming game by NetherRealm Studios and Warner Brothers.
In addition to releasing the MK Fight Stick, they’ve decided to sponsor an event to commemorate the reboot of the almost 9 year old franchise. And what better way to commemorate a game about a tournament between good and evil than a tournament itself? PDP will be sponsoring the first ever North American MK tournament, where players will be using the MK Fight Sticks to duke it out with opponents from all over the country to win some rewards from a prize pool that’s worth $21,000. The MK Tournament will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 14 and 15. Will you have what it takes to be the Mortal Kombat champion? Head here for more details on the Fight Stick and the Tournament.
