Kik Messenger burst onto the scene about 5 months ago and since then it has garnered over 3 million users and is still growing every day. Despite RIM taking away some of their momentum with the recent lawsuit and removal from the BlackBerry App World, it looks like they still have a lot of steam left in them. Kik has just announced an update for their hugely popular cross-platform messaging system that brings some much requested features to their app. Users can now send pictures and participate in group chats using Kik Messenger. The update is available now for free and it works on Android and iOS platforms.
