After all the speculations, rumors and leaks about the EVO 4G’s successor, it is now official. The EVO 3D was announced by Sprint today, confirming all the previous rumors and leaks about the device. Pretty much everything we’ve heard before is all confirmed for the phone. The HTC EVO 3D will run Android 2.3 on a glasses-free 3D 4.3″ qHD (960 x 540) display and a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, dual 5 megapixel cameras for capturing 3D pictures and videos or regular HD videos, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 3G/4G mobile hotspot capability, 4GB of internal storage, microSD slot (supports up to 32GB), WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 1730mAh Lithium-ion battery. The HTC EVO 3D will also work on Sprint’s 4G WiMAX service to make full use of Blockbuster On Demand – a preloaded on-demand movie streaming service that will ensure EVO 3D users won’t ever run out of 3D content to watch on their phones. No prices have been announced, but the phone will be available in summer. The interest page for the phone is also up now.
