A chef in China was sick of having to shave noodles by hand and decided to create a robot to do the job instead. Named after him, the Chef Cui robot is every noodle shop chef’s dream assistant. It uses a series of blades that operate like windshield wipers, to properly cut noodles just like a real human being. The chef is optimistic about his robot doing well in the business and plans to mass produce it this month to help chefs all over China. With robots doing the job efficiently and quickly, the lunch hour stress of dishing out bowls of noodles could be considerably reduced. In addition to being a competent worker, the Chef Cui will spice up any drab-looking kitchens with its Ultraman-inspired looks. I wonder if it’ll make over to this side of the world?
