Sculptor creates AT-AT from old computers
What’s the best way to recycle old computers? Send them to a recycling plant for a couple extra dollars? How about creating a Star Wars sculpture instead? Sage Werbock, a sculptor has used his blacksmithing skills to turn a pile of junk (costing of old computers and sheet metal) into every Star Wars fan boy’s wet dream – a replica of the Imperial forces four-legged vehicle, the All Terrain Armored Transport better known as the AT-AT (no, it’s not AT&T, though some people have likened the carrier to the Death Star). It’s not live-sized (unfortunately) at over a foot high and over a foot long, and it only weighs 15 pounds. Its body is made from power supply boxes and its head made from floppy drive housings. The AT-AT also has randomly welded battle scars and is on sale now for $450 on Etsy. Would you pay that amount of money for such a sculpture?
