Pioneer’s entry into the tablet game has resulted in the 10-inch DreamBook ePad F10 – what makes this different from the rest would be the use of Windows as the operating system of choice – instead of Android that most manufacturers cling to. Expect to pay a little bit extra due to software licensing fees which will most likely be hidden in the final price tag. The innards do resemble a netbook somewhat with an 1.5 GHz Intel Z670 Oak Trail processor, integrated graphics and a 10.1-inch, 1024 x 600 pixel multitouch display. Apart from that, you can choose to equip it with up to 2GB RAM, between 16GB and 128GB of SSD storage, and optional Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. Those who do plenty of presentations and love streaming content wirelessly from the tablet itself to an external display will be pleased to know that support for Intel’s WIDI wireless display system has been included. A SIM card slot, an SD memory card slot, a 1.3-megapixel camera and a battery which is touted to be good for up to 8 hours are the rest of its specifications – and Pioneer even claims it can run on Android if you want to.
