Olympus can be said to be the brand that spearheaded tough digital cameras, where it was the first in the world to introduce rugged shooters that could work underwater without a special case as well as shrug off drops and knocks (to a certain extent, of course). Well, the company is back this time around with the Olympus Tough TG-310, where this ultra-rugged compact digital camera is waterproof up to 10 feet, shockproof up to 5 feet and freezeproof up to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. To make sure it keeps up with the Joneses, this puppy will boast of a 3D Photo Mode which will capture a couple of images of a scene from two different angles in order to deliver the illusion of 3D. Additional specifications include 720p HD video recording, a 14-megapixel sensor, 3.6x wide-angle optical zoom lenses, dual image stabilization, Eye-Fi card compatibility, and In-Camera Panorama among others. Expect to fork out $200 for this puppy as it hits store shelves this February 18th.
