Well well, it seems that the Motorola XOOM will not break the $1,000 barrier when it comes to its final price tag, but that doesn’t mean it is cheap and falls under the impulse purchase category. No sir, it will stick to the originally rumored $799 price point, where that amount of dough will net you a 32GB model running on Android 3.0 Honeycomb, albeit with a 3G data plan from Verizon thrown into the mix as well. It is interesting to note that the 3G connection will be upgraded to 4G in due time, so you might want to take a chance with that. If you aren’t looking to burden your budget more each month, there is always the Wi-Fi-only version that costs $600 a pop to go toe-to-toe with Apple’s iPad.
