VFX Warrior has just released an app for the iPhone called Kromath 3 – a Realtime 3D Chroma Keyer. In case you don’t know what a chroma keying is, it is basically a technique used to composite two different images together by completely removing a color in one image and replacing it with another (basically how blue/greenscreen footage is shot). Using the app, you can easily shoot photographs of your subject in different backgrounds and with its live preview capabilities. You can see the results of the chroma keying immediately. If you’re a fan of trick and effect photography on your iPhone, you’ll probably enjoy using this app. Though it’s not what you’d call cheap – costing $34.99, it won’t be an app that you’ll buy on a whim.
