Thankfully, there are some devices which have actually made the transition from vaporware to being available in the real world, and we have word that the iControlPad will be shipping as early as next week. This device was first talked about three years ago, where it was then just a simple case with a dock connector, but how time has changed all of that since the final version costs you a cool $74.99 while offering Bluetooth connectivity to have it play nice with a whole host of devices apart from iOS-powered ones – yes, that means owners of Motorolas, BlackBerrys and Android phones will also be able to look forward to this. Will this change the mobile gaming scene drastically? Perhaps, but more importantly is, there should be games programmed for a device such as this first.
