[CES 2011] If you ever felt like you need to record all the exciting jungle trips you go on, Swann Security has got the product just for you. They have just announced the launch of their SportsCam which will be debuted at CES 2011. This mini camera/DVR records videos at 640 x 480, on a Micro SD card (it supports up to 16GB) and is housed in a rugged waterproof case to ensure that it’s untouchable by water. In addition to being waterproof, it is also shockproof, so you can expect the device to survive your rough camping trips and cliff diving escapades. The SportsCam is powered by a Lithium-ion battery that charges via USB and gives about 2.5 hours per charge. It even comes with accessories such as Velcro straps and clips for you to make sure you don’t lose the video camera during your activities. The device will be on sale in February and has a recommended price of $99. Not a bad deal, especially as a secondary camera if you don’t want to put your smartphone or main video camera through such torture when you’re participating in rough activities.
