[CES 2011] Remote controls are somewhat like status symbols, although it hasn’t quite reached that category yet until today since the marketing department of most remote control manufacturers still need to do plenty of work. Snakebyte wants to up the ante with their latest Premium Bluetooth Remote which offers both Bluetooth and Infrared connectivity, letting you command your Sony PS3 alongside up to 5 more IR components. Other hardware specifications include an integration Li-ion battery, updatable firmware for future longevity, a backlit display for those moments in the dark and an ingrained motion sensor. Too bad the booth here featured a mere mock, so there were no good photos to take of it. Expect the final device to ship this coming April for $49.99 – and keep your fingers crossed that you will not receive an empty box or a mockup due to April Fool’s!
