Kindle eBooks outsell paperbacks earlier than expected

This news has actually come a little earlier than expected as Amazon has announced that it has reached its goal of seeing eBooks outsell paperbacks. The milestone was expected to be achieved in the spring, but thanks to the holiday rush, Amazon saw 115 Kindle eBooks sold to every 100 paperbacks sold from Amazon online. Amazon still won’t divulge exactly how many Kindle eBook readers have been sold, aside from  “millions”, which we can already guess. Of course, digital books still have some way to go as they aren’t outselling hardcover and paperbacks combined just yet, but it’s definitely moving in that direction.
