HP Pavilion dv6 and dv7 Update
[CES 2011] HP is updating the dv6 and the dv7 laptops with the new Intel Core processor second generation. The HP Pavilion dv6 is a 15.6″ laptop that runs either a Core i3 or a Core i5 processor (second-gen) and features built-in WiFi N, HDMI 1.3b port, optional Blu-ray/DVD or RW/DVD writer. The HP pavilion dv7 boats an Intel Core i5 (second-gen) or optional Core i7 (second-gen), a 17.3″ display, dual hard drive option with up to 1TB or 160GB SSD, Direct X 11 support with a 1GB ATI radeon 5650, up to 8 GB DDR3 memory and a standard 6-cell Lithium-Ion battery, 4 USB ports, WiFi N, 5-in1 media card reader, HDMI port. The HP Pavilion dv6 and dv7 are expected to be available on Jan. 9 in the US with starting prices of $899.99 and $999.99 respectively.
