Cisco’s Cius enterprise tablet was announced way back in June 2010 and now the tablet is set to arrive on Verizon’s LTE network. This Android-powered tablet is designed to take advantage of Cisco’s expertise in enterprise video conferencing, though it’s fully capable of functioning as a normal tablet device too.

While the Cius is a 4G LTE device, it’s capable of reverting to Verizon’s 3G network in the event that LTE coverage isn’t available. The Cius will support Cisco’s enterprise collaboration applications and features Wi-Fi that will be very useful when there isn’t any cellular coverage. The front-facing camera of this tablet is capable of capturing 720p video while the rear-facing camera can be used for capturing still shots or live streaming. Cisco’s VPN connections and WebEX are also supported, though that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
