Google’s launch of the Nexus S was somewhat marred by the fact that the Google Talk app did not carry the video chat feature that was revealed earlier, and no applications on the Android Market also worked with the handset. This is a bummer since many people did thought that video calls will be part of a major feature of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, considering the new camera APIs were thrown in to allow developers to gain entry into the front-facing camera. Tango has clearly decided to take matters into their own hands, delivering the ability to make video calls for Nexus S owners. This free app was updated just a few hours ago, and will come with a new user interface for the Galaxy Tab. Since Tango is also cross platform, you too can make video calls with your iPhone friends as well. Initial impressions were pretty OK over Wi-Fi, although there was a degree of choppiness to the whole thing but we suppose it is just part of birth pangs.
