Samsung makes a boo-boo, Galaxy S phones return to Android 2.1 reality
Remember our story about the range of Samsung Galaxy S phones getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update? Well, apparently that was a mistake on Samsung’s part, bummer. The US Galaxy S variants; Fascinate, Vibrant and Epic 4G were caught listed with Android 2.2 Froyo as their operating system, but it seems that this mix up has seen all three handsets return to Android 2.1 Eclair. Of course, we can understand your disappointment if you happen to own any of the three handsets in quesiton, as owners were already told in September, November and December that the Android 2.2 update was on the way – and it still isn’t in side. To make matters worse, the recently released Nexus S already runs on Android 2.3. Go on, make some noise at Samsung’s headquarters on this mistreatment – if you can call it so. Will this affect your purchase decision of Samsung handsets in the future?Remember our story about the range of Samsung Galaxy S phones getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update?
