If you’re looking for alternative search apps for Android devices, you’ll be happy to hear that Bing’s exclusivity deal with Verizon has ended, meaning that the Android search app is now available to all Android users and can be easily found just by searching for “Bing”. There’s nothing wrong with Google’s default search app, but it’s always nice to have options. It’s also worth mentioning that this is not the end of Verizon’s Bing distribution, meaning that the carrier will continue to pre-install Microsoft’s mobile search software on various phones such as the Samsung Continuum and Motorola Citrus in place of Google’s own search (which can still be downloaded from the Android Market).
