The Velocity Micro Cruz is a 7-inch tablet device that has started to ship despite being introduced a few months back. Boasting a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution, it is powered by Android 2.1 while sporting 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory as well as an SD memory card slot that will be fitted with an 8GB SD memory card for starters. Fret not about staying connected to the Internet, since you can rely on 802.11n Wi-Fi for the fastest speed possible at the moment in public places, while a built-in accelerometer and automatic screen rotation rounds off the list of batteries. It is a pity that this Android-powered tablet will not support the Android Market, although Velocity Micro has provided an alternative in the form of their own app store. Expect this 7-inch tablet to go for $299.99.
