Samsung flagship handset to arrive next February

Samsung has been holding their cards close to their chest when it comes to their flagship handset – and no, it will not be the Samsung Nexus S. We’re talking about a flagship Android device that is due in February 2011, which points towards an unveiling at MWC. Selected areas of the slide deck does offer the description of either a 4.3- or 4.5-inch sAMOLED2 (no, that is not a typo) display, which could very well stand for Super AMOLED 2. This coming after you thought that the Super AMOLED displays on the Galaxy S range was jaw-dropping enough as they are. No Android 2.2 Froyo here, as Samsung ensures you remain ahead of the pack with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, accompanied by an 8-megapixel camera that does high definition video capture as well, 14.4Mbps HSPA and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, a 1.2GHz processor and 16GB of internal memory. This might make you hold out for a few more months if you’re looking for a new phone, eh?
