Plextor would like to round up those who have half a grand to spare, as they have just introduced their new 4-bay PX-NAS4 Network Attached Storage drive that is going for $399 when it hits retail shelves before the month is over, hoping for small businesses to pick it up. After all, the PX-NAS4 delivers centralized file storage and sharing, carrying with it a couple of LAN ports with up to 2Gbps data access, eSATA and USB connections for storage expansion and iSCSI support targeting and RAID 0, 1, 5 10, and JBOD disk configurations. All purchases will ship with a Snapshot Backup Utility that delivers additional data protection. It ain’t a power guzzler either, where power consumption is clocked at 25W on standby, and 58W under load. Would the power home user consider this? Perhaps, considering the price point.
