Google has taken another stab at Microsoft’s Office suite by announcing the public testing of Google Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office. This feature allows users to continue working in the familiar Office interface, while ensuring that documents that they’re working on are synced with Google Docs, making it easy to share and also simultaneously edit the same document at one go. Basically it’s merging the benefits of Google Docs with Microsoft Office and it’ll be free for everyone when it’s finally released. Currently Google has stopped accepting testers due to overwhelming demand, but the search giant has provided an online form that you can fill out to be notified when Google Cloud Connect becomes available.
