Aaxa claims that their M2 pico projector is the most powerful model to date – no idea on whether they’re referring to it as an industry on the whole, or just from Aaxa’s stable of pico projectors. The M2 is certainly no slouch in terms of hardware configuration considering the rather lofty position it has been called to, being capable of throwing a 1024 x 768 image at 110 lumens of LED brightness, coupled with a 2,000:1 contrast ratio – this is far better than most of the other pico projectors we’ve covered to date. Under ideal conditions, the M2 is capable of creating images up to 100 inches in size.
Some of the supported file formats include MP4, MP3, AVI and JPG, not to mention connections available for HDMI, VGA and composite cables. Other items that come with each purchase include a remote control, stereo speakers, and an adjustable tripod. Apart from its 1GB of internal memory, you can augment that via its SDHC memory card slot. Aaxa is offering the M2 for $369 a pop. Frankly, pico projectors haven’t really caught on in a big way simply because there is no strong need for something like this at the moment, but it will survive…
