We previously caught wind of it and now the WD TV Live Hub has finally gone official. The media streaming device offers a juicy 1TB worth of storage space and aside from being able to play media directly to a TV, it’s capable of sharing its content to other devices on the local network over DLNA or UPnP and even Android or iOS devices. Various file formats are supported from Macs and Windows machines. Streaming is available from Blockbuster, Netflix, and podcasts from CNN, ESPN, MTV, NBC and YouTube. Facebook updates, Flickr photos and Pandora radio are also available as options. In terms of connectivity, the device features HDMI 1.4, component and RCA connections, not to mention a pair of USB ports to accept media from external storage devices. A Wi-Fi USB adapter can also be added to offer wireless connectivity. Best Buy currently has an exclusive on the WD TV Live Hub in US and it will set you back $200.
