With Logitech gearing up to unveil its Google TV hardware, the company’s VP claims that there is more than just Google TV hardware that will be on show. Logitech has previously acquired LifeSize Communications, a company specializing in corporate HD video conferencing, and said technology will be hitting the living rooms, and should be compatible with Google TV. Some of Logitech’s webcams have already been certified to offer Skype HD video calling, so it wouldn’t be surprising if it were all related. This probably isn’t good news for Cisco which should be offering its HD conferencing option for a $30 monthly fee, not to mention the initial $600 outlay.
