Logitech has unveiled a keyboard that is powered solely by solar energy, namely the K750. The keyboard features two solar panels that collect and store energy in a battery that can keep the keyboard juiced for up to four months in complete darkness. Unlike most solar-powered devices out there, the K750 can be charged from indoor lighting, an important feature since you probably aren’t going to take your keyboard and put it under the sun. It connects to your computer via an RF-based USB adapter relying on Logitech’s Unifying receiver, allowing as many as five other devices to use a single receiver. The keyboard and the bundled software will be able to notify the user if the lighting conditions are good enough for charging or not. The keyboard will support Windows and Mac, and you can expect to ship to North America this November for $80, followed by the other parts of the world in December.
