Joby isn’t going to offer a tricked out tripod this time around, but will instead deliver the Switchback. This tripod will not lose its flexibility as found in its predecessors, but will also double up as a headlamp which is worn around your head. Of course, it can alternatively be placed into a lantern container for those tender moments when you sit around the campfire, sharing your life story with close friends over some hot chocolate and marshmallows. The light itself comprises of a central white beam with a couple of power levels, where it will also feature four Cree LEDs which can shine in either blue or red (easily toggled thanks to a button press) Two AA batteries is enough to get the Joby Switchback going, and you will have to fork out $59.95 for this puppy if you’re interested in picking one up for your happy trails sometime down the road.
