Turns out that Apple’s freshly-unveiled iMovie ’11 doesn’t want to step on anybody’s toes. It has been discovered that trailer themes such as the globe and mountain, similar to that used by Universal Studios and Paramount, will not allow you to use the word “Universal” and “Paramount” in the title. Such a move is probably to prevent folks from spoofing Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures trailers. Apparently when you try to do so, iMovie ’11 substitues the word with hyphens, not exactly the coolest thing around. Would it be a major irritation to you, or is it something that you’re already laughing at?
